Schedule a date for a News item or Alert to be removed from a Navigator website (written instructions)

This tutorial explains how to schedule a News item or Alert to be removed (unpublished) from a GPsurgery.net Navigator website. You can move through the tutorial at your own pace using the NEXT button.


Ensure that you are logged into your website. The black admin toolbar and orange Navigator toolbar will be visible at the top of the screen. Learn how to login to your website.

Hover your mouse over + New in the admin toolbar and select News or Alert from the drop-down that appears.

Add a title and description. You can also add a link if needed.

Once you have written your News item or Alert, scroll up to the Publish box in the top right hand corner of the Editor.

In the Unpublish on field, type in the day, month, year and time that you would like your News item or Alert to be automatically removed from your website.

Once you have added your date and time, select the blue Publish button.

Your News item or Alert will now be published on your website. It will automatically be removed from your website on the date and time you chose.
